We are excited to announce the MCIRN Advanced Preceptor Fellowship, an interactive online training program designed for preceptors.

Building upon the concepts from our MCIRN Process Precept live training of preceptor basics, this course places preceptors within various situations and asks the preceptor to use concepts learned to address each scenario. Evidence based content and expert review accompanies each scenario.

By the end of the fellowship, trainees will be able to:

Apply basic and advanced preceptor knowledge and skills to example scenarios.
Explain concepts learned
Synthesize learnings through the successful completion of a guided preceptor project.

This fellowship will run from May 12 to August 1 and offers a stipend of $3,500 upon successful completion.

Duration: 35 hours total (see below for more information)

Cohort 1 Start Date: May 12

Preceptor self-assessments
Concept reviews
Case presentations
Expert review
Concept recaps

This fellowship is ideal for seasoned preceptors looking to enhance their skills and knowledge in advanced clinical education. Participants will engage in dynamic learning experiences, including case studies, simulations, and peer discussions.

NOTE: There will be two online sessions that you must attend in order to complete the fellowship. You will need to be available for and sign up to attend one of the dates and times for both live sessions:

Live Session 1: Monday, June 9 at 9:00 or 12:00 OR Wednesday, June 11 at 9:00 or 12:00.
Live Session 2: Friday, July 9 at 9:00 or 12:00 OR Monday, July 11 at 9:00 or 12:00.

How do I apply?

Go to our website at MCIRN.com/fellowship and complete our application form. If selected, you will be notified on or before May 2nd. The MCIRN Preceptor Fellowship will begin on May 12th.

What if I am selected and I do not complete the content?

There is no penalty for not completing the content. However, you must complete all the required content to receive any contact hours or the stipend payment.

What do I need to access the fellowship materials?

You will need to have access to a computer and browser that can access MCIRN Preceptor Fellowship learning platform, as well as internet to support 2 live online meetings, 2 evaluation sites, and a word processor to complete written project work.

Will I receive CEs?

Yes, this course will provide up to 35 contact hours. Eight hours of the MCIRN Preceptor Fellowship consists of the MCIRN Process Precept content.

What if I have not completed MCIRN Process Precept?

You must have already completed MCIRN Process Precept to qualify for Cohort 1. In the future, there will be either online MCIRN Process Precept opportunities or options for those who have completed am MCIRN approved preceptor training program.
